We invite you to the album release of the 40-minute work "Listening Time" by Ferdinand Schwarz and recorded by AREPO, released on Another Timbre. For the occasion, AREPO will perform the entire piece live on March 21st at Scenehuset, Oslo.

About the project:

Listening Time is the result of a collaboration between AREPO and composer Ferdinand Schwarz. Ferdinand describes the piece as one that "explores alternate listening states and their attention spans through geometries and just intonation. It embodies my fascination with the emotional depths found within the formal rigour of minimalism." 

Ferdinand Schwarz, a composer and sound artist, delves deeply into the creative potential of listening. He is an experienced musician in both improvised and groove music, and his current creative work consists of collaborative listening practice and composition for various ensembles and instruments. Ferdinand approaches listening as a generative and contingent instrument, aiming to evoke heightened states of presence and perception.
